Bartender job description
REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager
SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities include, professionally & courteously serve all patrons while working as a team & ensure quality control of all alcoholic beverages.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years or older
Bartending experience is preferred, but not required
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time & repetitive hand/wrist motions
Ability to lift heavy objects above 50lbs
Work with hot, cold, & hazardous chemicals/equipment
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE:
Able to make basic bar cocktails, performs accurate pours
Understanding of the full Menu
Practices Food & Alcohol Safety, in accordance to the VA Health Department & Virginia ABC
Upholds Sanitary & Cleanliness practices for food handling & cleanliness throughout the restaurant

Ability to handle multiple tasks at once

Ability to engage with bar customers

Ability to serve difficult customers

INVENTORY/ CASH HANDLING:
Conducts accurate bar inventory at the end of each night
Ensures that the bar is stocked at all times, depending on the level of business
Adheres to the restaurant cash handling process
Detail-oriented in closing procedures
Takes responsibility for End-of-Shift/ End-of Day cash variances/errors
